About Us

Minority Canadians have specific barriers and needs that require tailored solutions.  Afghan women, in particular Hazaras, in Afghanistan face multi-layered systemic discrimination such as disproportionate access to education, employment, and health services. Hazara women in Canada lack opportunities in gaining eduction, employment, and political participation due to language and cultural barriers. Hazara Women Organization was created by Hazara women due to the apparent need of promoting social, political, and economic inclusion of women in Canada and abroad.
